Tamara ALMEIDA SILVA will represent Brazil at the Miss World 2008 pageant at Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg on Saturday 13th December 2008 and take the crown from current Miss World, China’s Zhang Zilin.

She speaks: Portuguese, English & Spanish

Tamara grew up in Ipatinga in the state of Minas Gerais.

Tamara began law studies at the age of 17, and is now in her 5th year.

She wants to become a Judge.

She likes: diving; swimming; cycling; boxing; yoga; martial arts; volleyball; boating; classical ballet and jazz (6 years); flamenco dance; travel; music; reading; going to the theatre and the movies.

She knows a little Chinese.

Her favorite food is Japanese.
