Jimena Navarrete, Miss Mexico, was crowned Miss Universe 2010 by outgoing title hoder Stefanía Fernández from Venezuela.
22 year-old Jimena Navarrete, from Mexico has won the Miss Universe 2010 pageant after donning a flowing red gown and telling the audience it’s important to teach kids family values.
Jimena Navarrete, Miss Mexico, was crowned Miss Universe 2010 by outgoing titlehoder Stefanía Fernández from Venezuela.
The huffington post writes As Miss Universe, Navarrete will receive an undisclosed salary, use of a luxury apartment in New York with living expenses paid, a diamond-encrusted crown and jewelry fit for a queen, a year’s worth of designer clothing, hair care products, makeup and shoes, plus a one-year scholarship to the New York Film Academy plus housing after her reign ends.
19-year-old Miss Australia, Jesinta Campbell was chosen Miss Congeniality by her fellow contestants.
Pageant viewers from across the world gave both the Most Photogenic and Best National Costume awards to Miss Thailand, 20-year-old Fonthip Watcharatrakul. Each of these awards carries with it a $1000 cash prize.
