Brooke Burke sustains successful thyroid cancer surgery

Brooke Burke-Charvet has successfully sustained her thyroid cancer surgery and the television personality is focusing now on healing. The actor confirmed the news of her being diagnosed with thyroid cancer in November and underwent thyroidectomy on December 6, 2012. The co-host of “Dancing with the Stars” tweeted how relief she was after the surgery and also thanked her well-wishers.

41-year-old Burke-Charvet had earlier posted a photograph of herself in the hospital before the surgery. The actor stated how disturbed she was both physically and emotionally.

Burke-Charvet is married to ‘Baywatch’ fame David Charvet and is a mother of four children. Throughout her health struggle phase, she has been blogging about it for ‘Modern Mom’ magazine and community for mothers. She shared in the magazine that she did not revealed about her ailment to her children initially and how her little son’s reaction gave her a shock.
