Apunkachoice.com writes “Those who think that Malaika Arora was roped in at the last minute to do the raunchy item song Munni Badnaam Hui in Dabangg after Katrina Kaif turned down the song, here’s a clarification from none other than the movie’s lead actor Salman Khan.”

Admitting that he loved working with Malaika, who is the wife of his younger brother Arbaaz Khan, Salman said Katrina was never considered for the song.

The superstar also spoke about how the project came into being, from scripting stages, to choosing the director Abhinav Kashyap and the film’s music.

Salman added that he enjoyed working with Sonakshi Sinha who makes her debut with the film set for release on September 10.

Especially after Sara Khan performed on it in the marriage of Deeya Singh and Tony Singh’s ‘Baat Hamari Pakki Hai
on Sony TV.

Next it was the turn of Bobby Darling who performed on the same number in ‘Dil Mill Gayye’. A source says, “Bobby Darling has made one day appearance on the sets of ‘Dill Mill Gayye’ to perform on the ‘Munni Badnam Hui…’.number. The sequence was all about the bachelors party of Siddharth (Karan Wahi) where Sid calls some bold and beautiful girls to dance and have fun with them. But their plans go awry when Bobby Darling appears to entertain them and have some sizzling moves with them. The shoot took place 4 days before.”

 

Karan Wahi says, “It was fun to be with Bobby. But I could not interact with her a lot because the entire day I was running here and there for the sequence. As she was with us only for one day, we had to complete the scene on the same day. Therefore, we could not meet properly. In fact, it was very tiring experience I would say.”
