Ranbir Kapoor replaces Shahrukh Khan in ‘Two States’
As the makers have planned to make a film based on ‘Two States’ of Chetan Bhagat, reports have said that Shahrukh Khan will now be replaced by Ranbir Kapoor.
Some of the earlier reports had said that the movie was supposed to be directed by film maker Vishal Bhardwaj. But now the maker of larger than life films, Karan Johar, will be taking the responsibility of the director along with Sajid Nadiadwala. Bhardwaj, for some reason, had put the movie on hold and begun shooting for another comedy flick starring Ajay Devgn and Anushka Sharma.
After this, Karan had approached Nadiadwala and had requested him to co-produce the film. Surprisingly, Karan opted for Ranbir Kapoor for the role instead of Shahrukh. If the cast works out as planned then this will be Ranbir Kapoor’s second film under the Dharma Productions banner after the movie ‘Wake Up Sid’.
‘Two States’ is a true story about a Punjabi boy who falls in love with a Tamilian girl and how the two try to convince their respective parents and bring ‘Two States’ together.
