Popular actress of the Kannada film industry, Ramya, has found herself in soup after writing against her producer and director, S V Rajendra Singh Babu on social networking sites. The actress’s move had offended all the producers of the Kannada film industry.
Now the Kannada Film Producers Association and the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce, have jointly decided not to cast the actress for one whole year starting from 22nd March. The president of KFCC, Basanth Kumar Patil had made the announcement at a press conference on Tuesday night.
The matter started when producer Ganesh asked her to appear for the launch of the forthcoming Kannada movie ‘Dandam Dashagunam’. But the actress said that she would appear only when her previous dues were cleared.
Reports of Ramya’s arrogance had come out when the actress, did not appear for the audio launch despite clearing her previous dues. On the other hand, the actress says that the decision to boycott her was meaningless, as she had already decided to voluntarily quit Kannada film industry. Amidst the controversy, the makers of the movie are happy that it has already got much of publicity than required. The controversy had also alleged the actress, that she was linked to a married man.
