Kareena to wear Sharmila’s ‘sharara’ for wedding

Popular bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor is trying to woo her would be mother-in-law Sharmila Tagore. Kareena on her wedding day will be wearing the same sharara that Saif Ali Khan’s mom Sharmila Tagore wore at her wedding 43 years ago. The marriage is scheduled to take place on October 16, 2012. Preparations are going at Pataudi Palace for the event.

Rumours were doing rounds that designer Ritu Kumar would modernize the heavily embellished sharara for Kareena. But Sharmila dismissed the rumours saying nothing is being changed and Kareena will wear her joda as it is.

As per reports, Bebo’s favorite designer Manish Malhotra will put together Kareena’s bridal wardrobe. Kareena will be wearing a Rs. 40-lakh worth necklace designed by Rajkot-based Kruti Jewellers.

A source close to Saif Ali Khan revealed that it will be a simple registered marriage at Pataudi’s ancestral palace in Haryana. This will be followed by a reception in Mumbai for close friends and family members. However both Kareena and Saif maintained silence on their wedding plans.
