Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan gear up for their wedding

It was reported on Oct 16, 2012 that the wedding festivities of Bollywood actors Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan, one of the most awaited marriages of the year, have begun. The couple would be exchanging wedding vows in a private affair on Oct 16, 2012.

The sangeet ceremony was on Sunday, Oct 14, 2012 at Kareena’s Bandra residence and the mehndi ceremony on Monday, Oct 15, 2012. Reportedly, the couple will have a registered marriage on Oct 16, 2012 at Saif Ali Khan’s Mumbai house, which will be attended by close friends and family members. Then the ‘nikaah’ is on Oct 17, 2012 which is followed by a reception Oct 18, 2012. Both will be at Saif’s ancestral home Pataudi Palace in Haryana, which is being readied. Saif’s wedding outfit, an achkan is designed by Raghuvendra Rathore, while veteran designer Ritu Kumar has designed a traditional sharara for Kareena. Kareena will change her surname to Kareena Kapoor Khan, after becoming the Begum of Pataudi
