Bollywood Actor Shiney Ahuja Arrested for Raping Maid

Bollywood actor Shiney Ahuja was arrested on Sunday night for allegedly raping his maid, police said.

Shiney’s House maid complained to the Police that Ahuja raped her at his residence on Sunday afternoon and when they were alone in the house.

Police said “The 18-year-old maid lodged a complaint with the Oshiwara police station in Andheri (West) Sunday evening, and police summoned Ahuja for questioning, a police official said.”

The actor was arrested and investigations were on, the official said, adding that he would be produced before a court in Andheri Monday morning.The maid had been working at Ahuja’s apartment for nearly a year, police said.

Shiney Ahuja will have to spend the next three days in police custody. Magistrate P K Choudhury set the next hearing for Thursday, June 18.

Three cases — Section 342 (wrongful confinement), 506 (criminal intimidation) and 376 (rape) have been registed against the actor.

Ahuja was represented by his lawyer Shrikant Shivade. The completely disturbed looking  actor did not speak in court and stood silently observing the proceedings.  He was barefoot like accused are required to be.

Shiney Ahuja is married and is a noted actor for his roles in the films “Hazaron Khwaishe Aisi” and “Gangster”.
