Amitabh Bachchan fans pray on Mahashivratri for his speedy recovery
As Bollywood super star Amitabh Bachchan recovers in the hospital after abdominal surgeries, hundreds of worried fans are offering prayers on the day of Mahashivratri on February 20, 2012 for his speedy recovery. The fans said that they are making the use of the occasion of Mahashivratri to pray for Amitabh’s speedy recovery.
Sourav Banerjee, from Amitabh Bachchan Fan Association of Kolkata said that on Mahashivratri they are pleading Lord Shiva to heal the star. Hundreds of fans were seen carrying posters of Amitabh Bachchan and were dressed in traditional attires at the Ekdaliya Evergreen Park in the afternoon.
Amitabh has been in the hospital dealing with health problems. Ever since the news of his health broke out, his fans have been worried and have been praying for his good health.
Banerjee said that they have been praying for his health ever since and are constantly monitoring the media reports on his health. Another fan of the star blamed the heavy work schedule of the star for his health problems.
