Agneepath movie rights sold for Rs. 41 crores

In Bollywood it has now become a trend to sell the satellite rights of the films even before the film is released. The satellite rights of the movie ‘Agneepath’ too have been sold to Zee Network for Rs. 41 crores.

Such moves by the makers of the movie helps them to start earning even before the movie is released so that they are assured that they at least get back the money invested in the production. Popular film critic Taran Adarsh said that he wasn’t shocked over the reported price as the earlier Hrithik Roshan movies were also sold for a huge amount including ‘Kites’.

Certain reports even said that the rights of the upcoming movie ‘Krrish 3’ were also sold for Rs. 37 crores to a different channel. But it has been said that the movie ‘Agneepath’ which is all set to release on January 26, 2012 has left behind all the movies in terms of the cost of the satellite rights.

It has also been said that ‘Agneepath’ is the most awaited movie of the year 2012. The theatrical trailer of the movie hit the screens on Friday, along with the movie ‘Don 2’ directed by Karan Malhotra and Karan Johar.
