Karan Johar is back with his another larger than life movie with a different genre. Kudos to the makers as they attempted the remake of the classic movie ‘Agneepath’ which was a blockbuster when it was released. The movie has been released on January 26, 2012 and the audience has already gone crazy.

One might be wondering how the signature scene would have been interpreted in the remake. May be it was the curiosity which pulled the audience to the theatres. The basic story of the movie remains the same.

The bad man Kaancha played by Sanjay Dutt is the unsung king of an Island and Vijay Dinnanath Chauhan played by Hrithik Roshan grows to take a revenge and is under the wings of Rauf Lala played by Rishi Kapoor. Priyanka Chopra’s role is very similar to that of the Maharashtrian girl she played in the movie ‘Kameeney’.

The music is the main catch in the movie and the sentiments have been very well executed by director Karan Malhotra. The new ‘Agneepath’ has definately raised the bar from the original one with the help of the even scarier baddie Sanjay Dutt, the music which describes every mood and emotion. The dialogues in the movie too are impressive and over all Karan Johar and Karan Malhotra have set an example of how to pay tribute to a classic original movie.
