The movie ‘Mausam’ has been finally released after enough controversies surrounding it. But after the release one thinks that what made director Pankaj Kapoor take so long to make ‘Mausam’, which was expected to be a success.

The story is about Shahid Kapoor, who plays a Punjabi boy, Lt. Harinder Singh also known as Harry, who falls in love with a Kashmiri Muslim girl Aayat played by Sonam Kapoor. Aayat’s father, due to the unrest in Kashmir sends his daughter to Mallukot in Punjab to his sister Fatima played by Supriya Pathak.

Here Aayat meets Harry, who proposes her but Aayat says that he would get his answer next day. The next day there was a huge lock on their door. The performances in the movie are noteworthy and Shahid rules in the film.

Pankaj has attempted to narrate a love story and it would have been even better if he would have stuck to it. The director has added too many elements in the movie for the audience to get irked. The music in the movie is well appreciated and the movie is only good to watch Shahid.
