Railway Recruitment 2012, apply online
The Railway Recruitment Board has invited applications for the recruitment of 6449 vacancies for different posts for the year 2012. Applications are invited for the posts of Senior section engineers, Junior engineers, Senior supervisors, Cheif Depot Material Superintendants and Depot Material Superintendants.
The candidates have to an engineering diploma in concerned subjects. The last date for applying for the posts is April 9, 2012.
The Indian railways is run by the Indian government, which operated most of the India’s rail transport. There are approximately 1.36 million permanent employees in the Indian railways, which is the world’s second largest employer.
The Indian railways transports 30 million passengers daily across 28 states and two union territories. The only states in the country which bare not connected to rail is Sikkim and Meghalaya. A standard passenger train has 18 coaches but the popular trains have 26 coaches and sometimes even more. The coaches of the train are designed to accommodate 18 to 108 passengers.
