Indian Institute of Banking & Finance (IIBF) (formerly The Indian Institute of Bankers), was established on 30 April 1928 as a professional body of Banks and Financial Institutions licensed under the provisions of Section 26 of the Indian Companies Act 1939. The initiative to establish the Institute was taken by eminent bankers, businessmen and leading industrialists of India.
