Google Ties Up with South Korean Daum
Google vowed to expand its business in South Korea.
Putting action to its words, Google Inc. has formed a tie with South Korea's second largest Internet portal – Daum.com.
The two have agreed to cooperate in online advertisement.
Daum will run Google's cost-per-click (CPC) search ads begining January 1st.![]()
I have investigated the CPC thing, somewhat. I am of the opinion that advertisers are paying way too much for these ads and not getting the return.
It's popular. Google does it, so it must be good – don't fly with me.
Daum is likely to make money. Google will make money. But, sooner or later, the companies paying for CPCs will figure out it is not worth it.
But, Google and Daum have a lot of companies to go through before they (the companies) figure that out.
What do you think?
