Japan's Bridgestone saw profits jump 64% in the first 9 months of this year.

Bridgestone is the world's largest tire and rubber products maker.

And, yup, cars are selling like crazy everywhere.

Profit for Bridgestone during the first nine months – $714 million!!

Michelin SA of France is Bridgestone's main competitor, but Bridgestone wins in global revenue.

Increased overseas production and new products were at the heart of

Some 80% of the company's business…tires.

Bridgestone has a plan to spend $2.17 billion over the next five years to increase tire production capacity. They already have 1/3 of that in the bank on profits alone this year.

By 2012, Bridgestone wants annual sales of Y4 trillion!! ($35 billion). With the car industry growing the way it is, why not?
