Chinese, Japanese Meet about Food Poisoning

Submitted by Bill Belew on Sunday, 3 February 2008No Comment

The Chinese and Japanese are getting along fine.

Maybe it should be were getting along fine.

Somehow, poison, a lot of it, got into a batch of Chinese-made frozen dumplings – gyoza, jiaozi. Yum! Without the poisoning, of course.

The Tian Yang Food Plant says they have never used the pesticide substance methamidophos, making it a mystery how the substance got into the dumplings in the first place.

Yeah, I mean, who's going to know or say they know how poison gets into food.

At any rate, a five-member Chinese team and a horde of Japanese are going to meet to see what they can find out.

My guess is, they will find out they can still get along and do business with one another, sell, buy, import and export.

Not even trips to shrines can stop them.
