China's software industry is expected to reach 1.1 trillion yuan, ($143 billion) in 2010.

Annual growth of 30% for the next three years will allow China's domestic growth to reach that target, according to the Eleventh Five-Year Plan for Software Industry Development.

Exports are expected to grow by 28% each year to $12.5 billion in sales.

By 2010, China is expected to have 15 major software firms.

The Department of Economic Restructuring and Operations, says the government will encourage software firms to cooperate and form innovative unions to build an "innovative, home-grown technological system".software.china.jpg
