Preparing for the Stock Index Futures

"Actively motivate the launching and running of the stock index futures,” said Shangfulin, the leader of China Securities Regulatory Commission.

This is the latest version of the official saying about the Stock Index Futures.

In the other words, the Stock Index Futures will be launched when the market conditions are deemed to have “matured”.

However, no one knows what “mature”  means. Investors get used to guessing such mysterious Stock Index Futures.

Early March is the first possible launching month

Benchmarked Index	Shanghai-Shenzhen 300 Index(SHSZ 300).
Contract Multiplier	Y300/ point.
Quotation Unit	Index Point.
Minimum Price Fluctuation	0.2 points.
Contract Months	This month; Next Month; the following two Quarters Months.
Trading Time	9:15-11:30, 13:00-15:15 (Beijing Time).
Last Trading Day Trading Time	9:15-11:30,13:00-15:00 (Beijing Time).
Daily Price Maximum Fluctuation Limits	Previous Trading Day Clearing Price±10%.
Minimum Trading Margin	10 percent of the Contract.
Last Trading Day	The Third Friday of the Expiry Month (If this day is an official holiday, the Last Trading Day is extended until the first business day which follows.).
Delivery Date	Same as the Last Trading Day.
Delivery Method	Cash.
