NBA Helps Yao Ming Deliver
Yao Ming and the Houston Rockets couldn't deliver the NBA Trophy to Houston or China, but the NBA knows a good fan base when they see it.
"The National Basketball Association (NBA) Monday announced at a press conference in Beijing with its new partner DHL that the ultimate symbol of the NBA champions – the Larry O'Brien trophy will be brought to Asia in July."
The trophy, originally designed by Tiffany's 30 years ago will make the rounds with a few NBA legends…to be named.![]()
This Fall, the Cleveland Cavaliers and Orlando Magic will play a game in Shanghai (Oct. 17th).
On October 18th, the Magic will play a Chinese Men's National Team in Macao. (In fear…NBA turned down a game against the women.)
After that game, there will be a rematch between the Magic and Lebron James' Cavaliers….no Yao Ming. The Chinese have already seen him play.
The NBA knows where they can attract a million, or is it a billion fans.
My father-in-law will be there. Will you?
