Made-in-China Car Tops Sales Charts

Chinese carmaker, Chery, was the best seller for March in China. It is the first time a home-made car was on top of the sales charts for cars in China.

Chery sold 44,568 cars.

Shanghai GM sold 40,071.

Shanghai VW sold 38,627.

FAW VW sold 37,016.

The top four sold one-third of all cars bought in China.

Chery also sold more than 10,019 vehicles outside of China last month to take number one on that list as well.

Chery was established in 1997, FAW – 1991 and Shanghai GM also in 1997.

Chery wants to be "King of Compact Cars."

If the company continues to take the top spot each month…then why not?
