Intel Increases China Investment to $4 billion with Software Support Center
Intel Corporation has invested about $4 billion in China, one of the largest foreign investors in the country.
Earlier this year the company announced plans to build a $2.5 billion semiconductor plant in Dalian.
Yesterday, Intel opened a software innovation and support center in Hangzhou.
China software industry is expanding – at 27% percent for software spending each year in the $43.9 billion IT industry.
Hangzhou is Zhejiang Province, producer of 10,000 software graduates EVERY year and also home to about 1,000 software companies.
Intel will pour $10.5 million into Zhejiang Supcon Technology to further penetrate the
market and in hopes of becoming one of the largest software testing and validating centers in Asia.
