Disney Makes Animation Film Out of Chinese Legend

The Magic Gourd (Baohulu De Mimi) is Walt Disney China's first co-production, made with China as the priority.
Made in China, about China and for China.
The film was created in a joint effort of the Walt Disney China, Hong Kong's Centro Digital Pictures and China Film Group Corporation, the third group being responsible for distribution.
The story was chosen for its widespread popularity among Chinese.
I wonder if such stories as this will make it to the US mainland. Remember Mulan?
