DHL Designates Shanghai New Hub

Submitted by admin on Tuesday, 27 November 2007No Comment

DHL is the best option to UPS and Federal Express.

The company will spend $175 million to build a North Asia express transferring hub at Shanghai Putong International Airport.

DHL will beat out UPS to be the first express shipping service to have two international hubs.

UPS is building a hub in Shanghai.

The German courier's DHL North Asia hub will be completed by 2010 and contribute 30% of global express volume within five years, not to mention handling China.

Shanghai beat out 133 other airports wanting the hub.

DHL says Shanghai was chosen because of the many commerical activities going on in the Yangtze River Delta region.

Shanghai's Pudong Airport hands 63% of China's international cargo and they want more.

The airport is going to get it.

Which do you use, UPS, Federal Express or DHL?
