China's economy is buzzing, but there are still busloads of people (who can afford the fare) looking for a job. And, they will be looking harder from now till 2015 and beyond.

1. In rural China, some 120 million are in need of a job.

2. There are more than 4 million laid-off workers and a caravan of college graduates that are still looking.

3. The 11th Five-Year Plan (2006-2010) will see another 20 million young peoplechinese.unemployment.jpg enter the labor market.

4. The baby boom in the 1960s and 70s has guaranteed an

abundant labor force – some 65% of China's population.

5. With 8-9% economic growth every year, China can create 8-9 million new job vacancies. Even with retirements thrown in, there are only some 12 million jobs available every year.

China will continue to have an unemployment headache for years to come.

When was the last time you were without a job?
