China Rejects 47 Tons of U.S. Sardines
A Chinese city, Rongcheng, rejected 47 tons of frozen sardines which were imported from a Japanese trading company but had originated in the United States.
The sardines were infected with a disease-inducing bacteria – listeria monocytogens.
Diseases that can result:
1. breathing difficulty,
2. vomiting,
3. rash,
4. meningitis,
5. fever,
6. coma
7. blood poisoning
8. death for human beings and animals
The value of the shipment was about $40,000.
Nothing wrong with being strict with one another, is there?
Or is this just a case of China getting even with the United States over the Mattel fiasco?
