China Netcom Picks Google

Submitted by Bill Belew on Thursday, 1 March 2007No Comment

China Network Communications (CNC) is the second largest fixed-line operator in China. Do people still use fixed-lines? I haven't had a fixed-line telephone since I moved back to the states some 7 years ago.

CNC has picked Google to be its Internet search engine of choice for its 16 million broadband users.

China Telecom, the country's largest fixed-line operator with 25 million broadband users, chose Microsoft as its search engine of choice in September of last year.

China Mobile…uses Google.

As much as I don't particularly care for Google, a whole lot of people, by last count about 60%, find my sites via a Google search.

Thank you, Google!

What is your search engine of choice?
