Chilling at IKEA Furniture Stores

People in Shanghai are choosing to chill out at Ikea furniture stores.

"It's hot outside."

"Yea, let's go to IKEA."

They kick off their shoes, sprawl out on the sofa and take naps.

The air-conditioning of IKEA furniture stores are more attractive than anything the 90+ temps outside have to offer.

Security says some come in the morning and stay all

Bedrooms are occupied by 'loyal' customers, usually middle-aged men, senior citizens, young ladies and even babies.ikea.shanghai.1.jpg

Chinese shoppers are known for being hands on, but this is my first experience with 'backs on, butts on, bodies on."

    I spend most of my day sitting at my desk at home with the blinds closed and my ceiling fan going. Less light means less heat, so I like to keep my apartment dim…No one ever complains about being hot when they come in though.
