Xiamen Airlines ordered 25 Next-Generation 737-800 airplanes from Boeing Co.
The price tag…$1.9 billion at 2007 average list prices.
Xiamen thinks the 'most fuel-efficient airplane in their class' will help meet the goal of reducing operating costs.
Boeing thinks – thanks for adding to the total orders for all 737 airplanes of 7,153 and Next-Generation 737s at 4,021.
Let's see…25 airplanes cost $1.9 billion.
How much do 11,174 of the airplanes cost?
Boeing will be happy for years to come….
So, why isn't Boeing expanding its facilities, hiring more people and doing more faster to keep this trade imbalance down and put more Americans to work?
