$600K/lb to send personal items into space and back
My wife has already threatened to send me into space….a bunch of times.
If she knew just how expensive it would be she would surely reconsider.
A 'space letter' – not more than 100 words can now be sent into space for 88 yuan ($11.50)…about the cost of an expernsive greeting card.
To be sure that what is said will happen, happens….customers will receive a video recording of the whole process.
"And now, Wang is pressing the copy button to put your 100 letter on the CD.
"See, your message has been copied."
Oh….and digital pictures can be sent as well. Mine will be used to
scare away potential aliens.
Personal belongings….an ornament, a lock of hair, a piece of jewelry – can be put into a special container and sent into orbit AND back for 9900 yuan ($1300)…per gram!!!
A pound of flesh = $588,900!
Me….about $117
million!! ($200lb x 453 grams x 1300)
The company that came up with this idea is in Hong Kong – Space Wishes Service – and is working with Celesti, a Houston-based commercial space service, "Memorial Spaceflights." The company sends the ashes of loved-ones into space….preferably after they are dead. Somebody please tell my wife!
What would you like to send into space?
