2 Goals in Honda’s Plan of Attack for China in 2008
Honda has a plan of attack for China this year.
The auto maker has two main goals –
1. Increase the number of dealerships to 700 by the end of the year.
2. roll out 650,000 cars out – up 20%
Honda presently has 560 dealerships.
1. Guangzhow Honda Automobile Co,
2. Dongfeng Honda Automobile Co,
3. Ddealers selling its Acura luxury brand.
On Y10 billion (Japanese) investment, Dongfeng will double production capacity of its Civic subcompact and CR-V SUV.
Sales goals are 490,000 units on the Chinese mainland alone this year.
China's automobile market grew 18% in 2007 making it the second largest market. The U.S. is number one.
