The 5th and Final ODI between Australia and New Zealand will begin in Brisbane from Friday, February 13 , Start time 1.15pm (03.15 GMT)
After four matches both the teams are leveled at 2-2 in the 5 match Chappel-Hadlee Trophy, the series is up for grabs as these two teams take on each other in the final game at the Gabba. Australia have clawed back from 2-0 down to level the series and if they manage to win this match it will be only the third occasion in a 5 match series that a side has come back from 0-2 down to win a series.
This is Ricky Ponting’s 179th match as Australian Captain and will move ahead of Allan Border’s record of 178 ODI’s in charge.
Pitch conditions
The Brisbane cricket ground has been one of the fastest wickets in Australia this summer, but with heavy showers this time the pitch and the outfield looks fairly lush. There is also a shower being predicted for tomorrow which could act as a real dampener.
