Saddam’s Bad Intel

Submitted by Bill Belew on Saturday, 22 April 2006No Comment

Doing business anywhere, in Russia, Korea, Japan China or elsewhere depends on good communication among partners and unfortunately among the political leaders as well..boneheaded as they may be.

Dr. Volonstov wrote about how Russia may be a key a to getting North Korea on the right page. After reading a report about how Saddam got bum intel from, um, a Russian spy, I wonder, who is telling whom and what are they telling them?

It seems a Russian Ambassador in Baghdad gave Saddam significant intelligence about CENTCOMM’s war plans prior to the March 2003 invasion.

Of course, the Russians deny this.

Prior to the first Gulf War, Saddam got bum intel from the ambassador at the time.

Ooo…the world of spies. Where is Sydney Bristow when you need her?

Two questions:

1. Can we trust Russia to get it right? And I mean to give the right ‘wrong’ info?

2. Why are we still talking about Saddam?

The guy who pulled him out of the rabbit hole should have shot him right then and there is what I think.

What do you think?
