Nissan Knows Chinese Customer Service

The most effective marketing is to treat your existing customers very well.

This is true everywhere, no?

NISSAN has taken this to heart in China. Nissan knows how it wants to do business in China.

Three years ago, Nissan dispatched six retired dealeship execs from Japan to help show their Chinese counterparts how it is done.

They taught them how to improve showroom cleanliness, interaction with customers and after-sales service.

The payoff is that Nissan dealers rank number one in China in customer service in 2005.

Nissan’s philosophy is typical Japan – long range. "We want our first-time buyers to be  second- and third-time ones.

Time will tell. But, for now, Nissan has my vote of confidence.

What do you think?
