A group of workers in America was asked to rank the most recognizable Japanese person they know.
Not a tough problem, generally speaking, unless you are American.
Jackie Chan and Jet Li, will be happy to know, or not, that they are ranked #12 and # 22, respectively, on the list of most recognized Japanese people.
If you don’t know why that is strange, then perhaps you were one of the people who made those selections.
Jackie Chan is from Hong Kong and Jet Li is from China.
Given the bad blood between China and Japan, both, no doubt, would be terribly offended to be called Japanese.
