International Intellectual Property Alliance – Piracy in Russia

Posted by Bill Belew on April 23rd, 2006 in China, Russia | No Comments

There has been a lot of talk about Chinese Piracy and concessions cracking down on the Chinese.

What I read today reminded me of an old Carpenter’s song that was song by the brother of the bunch, Richard Carpenter.

The line was, "while all the boys were out playing with a football, he was home banging on the keys."

According to International Intellectual Property Alliance, Russia pirates at a MINIMUM 67% of the copyrighted movies, software, music and books that it sells.  This has the same affect on business and trust that the pirating does in China or anywhere else, no?

While China is out playing with the football, Russia seems to be home banging on the keys?

Who’s watching Russia?

What do you think should be done about this?
