Bojiang Yang – Brookings Institution
Bojiang Yang of the Brookings Institution is one of China’s leading experts on Japan.
He is currently Professor and Director of the Institute for Japanese Studies and for the Division for Korean Peninsula Studies at the China Institute of Contemporary International Relations.
He focuses on strategic and policy considerations of North & South Korea, Japan and especially the US towards NorthEast Asia and how they will contribute to resolution of the Korean nuclear crisis. We are concerned with how that will affect business in China, Korea and Japan.
He is specifically concerned with how the six-party talks and big power relations (US-Sino and Sino-Japan) will play out as a result of the current nuclear crisis in North Korea.
Dr. Yang previously was the director of the Center for Taiwan Related Studies at CICIR.
How do you think the crisis will play out? Do you have any recommendations for Dr. Yang?
