Maruti Suzuki to Launch RITZ Car on May 15
India’s Leading Car Manufacturer Maruti Suzuki will be launching its premium compact car ‘Ritz’ on May 15th 2009 in Delhi
“Ritz will directly compete with Swift. In the past, when we have launched cars in the same segment, it has helped the market to grow,” Maruti Suzuki’s managing executive officer, I V Rao,
Ritz is a B+ Segment small hatchback car, which would be positioned between Maruti’s recently launched premium compact car-A-star and its super-hatch- Swift.

The RItz car is estimated to be priced between Rs. 4-5 lakhs, though its not been announced by the company yet.
Based on the Swift platform, the roomy RITZ will be powered by a K12M petrol engine- an all-aluminum 4 cylinder, 1197cc one and would be BSIV compliant.
The engine which is expected to produce 85 bhp of power and have a 113 Nm of torque is tipped to give a mileage of 17.8 kmpl, slightly below its A-star model (19.6 kmpl).

Ritz car will be rolled out from Maruti’s state-of-the-art plant in Manesar, near Gurgaon.
According to sources, the new Maruti Ritz Car shall be launched in 6 variants,which comprises three petrol and three diesel cars. Both the petrol and diesel engine will have four-valve-per-cylinder mated with a 5-speed manual gearbox, its length is less than 4 metres.
“With the launch of Ritz, our customers would have two cars to choose from in the same category,” Maruti’s IV Rao said.

Well this car is already running successfully in Europian Market by the name of “Splash” and this Hatchback in launching in India by the second week of May by the name of Ritz and is coming with all new K-12 Engine..The K12M is essentially a 1197cc petrol engine that is capable of putting out 85 PS of power at 6000rpm in its current state of tune.
