ISRO launches PSLV- C15 rocket from Sriharikota, video

Indian Space research Organization (ISRO) has launched PSLV-C15 a successfully at 9.22am today from Sriharikota. The launch was a great success and PSLV-C15 carried along with it remote sensing Cartosat-2B. Also, four other satellites were sent successfully.

PSLV-C15 is a four-stage 44.4 meter long and weighs 230 tonne. Clear weather conditions helped well for the successful launch today. The four other satellites are Alsat from Algeria, two belongs to Canada and Switzerland, and another was a small satellite Studsat engineered through students of Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka. These four will be set into the orbit.

This Cartosat-2B is the tenth remote sensing satellite for the ISRO presently in the orbit. Previous satellites are already well known as IRS 1D, Resourcesat 1, TES, Cartosat 2, Cartosat 2A, IMS 1, RISAT-2, Oceansat 1, and Oceansat 2.
