Top Seven Countries doing Port business

When I was a kid, the expression for something taking a long time was 'did you send it by slow boat to China?'

I have discovered another reason for this.

China is the number one handler of containers at major ports in the world. – Shanghai, Hong Kong, Shenzhen

2. U.S.A. – handles almost half of what China does. – Los Angeles, Long Beach

3. Singapore – almost half of the U.S.A. – Singapore

4. Japan – Tokyo, Yokohama, Kobe

5. South Korea – Pusan

6. Taiwan – Guaxing

7. Germany – Hamburg

China handles almost as much as Germany, Taiwan, South Korea, Japan and Singapore put together…..but then China is the world's supplier of almost everything.
