Tokyo’s Haneda, Shanghai’s Hongqiao and Seoul’s Gimbo Airports Make Business Easier
American Carriers are not the only ones wanting more routes to China.
5 US Airlines Win New Flight Routes to China
Tokyo's Haneda Airport, began operating flights to Shanghai's Hongqiao Airport today.
The result is businessmen can get to downtown areas faster than between Narita (an hour outside of Tokyo) and Pudong (an hour outside of Shanghai).
The flights will be operated by:
1. Japan Airlines,
2. All Nippon Airways,
3. China Eastern Airlines
4. Shanghai Airlines
The two aiports are normally used for domestic flights.![]()
However there are also eight daily flights to Seoul's Gimbo airport from Haneda.
Seoul's Gimbo is closer to downtown core.
The flights are technically considered charter flights.
My bet is, the businessman don't care. They are just happy to save a couple of hours in transit time to and from airports each trip.
That's good business.
Have you ever flown a charter flight?
