I have touched on the bad blood between the Japanese and Chinese in previous posts. Much of that ill will has to do with the horrific way in which the Japanese mistreated the Chinese during the invasion.

One particularly low point was Japan's action at Nanjing – the Nanjing massacre. A western journalist posted some pictures here.

When the Chinese see that they were mistreated this way by the Japanese, is it any wonder many of them still harbor very hard feelings?
