Malaysians Live in Fear of Golf Balls

Submitted by Bill Belew on Saturday, 11 November 2006No Comment

There is a housing development next to a golf course in Kuala Lumpur.

Sounds like a dream, eh? Not for these residents.

The dwellers say golfers continually hit such bad shots that hundreds of balls have landed on their home, even konking a few people.

Car windshields are shattered, roof tiles get cracked and windows are smashed.

One woman said her husband was bonked but saved by his turban.golf ball.jpg

Like anywhere, Malaysian’s do business on the golf course.  There is one guy making living by passing out business cards to the homeowners – a legal firm.

Haven’t these courses ever heard of putting up safety nets?

I reckon if there were no law against it, and no legal ramifications if I did it, I would try to drive golf balls into a housing development, too.

Would you?
