Malaysian Disc Pirates Sic Bounty Hunters on Sniffer Dogs
Lucky and Flo are two labrador dogs with a bounty on their heads.
The two dogs, on loan from the Motion Picture Assocication of America helped sniff out nearly 1 million illegal discs last week.
Disc pirates in Malaysia want no more of it…so, they dug into their own bounty to put up a bounty…on the dogs.
Because the dogs are a genuine threat to the pirated disc syndicates, instructions to eliminate them have been issued.
The pooches are now in a safe house.
The MPAA estimates it has lost $1.2 billion to Asia-Pacific movie pirates in 2006.
The dogs are trained to sniff out polycarbonates — chemicals used in disc manufacturing process.
Last year 5 milllion discs were seized in more than 2000 raids in Malaysia.
This year, with Lucky and Flo in operation, the MPAA might just dig up the pirates.
What do you think of Lucky and Flo?
