Kolkata Municipal Election Results – Watch Star Ananda Live TV, Mamata Banerjee’s Trinamool Congress win KMC

Trinamool Congress wins the KMC elections 2010 in West Bengal. The chief Mamata Banerjee awaited a long for this giant victory from Kolkata. She stated this victory in elections as a ‘revolution’ for Kolkatta.

“This victory is dedicated to the people of the state because for 34 years they have struggled (under Left Front rule). It is a victory of the people, for the people, by the people,” Banerjee told CNN-IBN in an interview.

This is a profit of 55 seats from the Trinamool Congress in the Kolkata Municipal Corporation.

Saugata Ray, TMC leader stated “The Left front is already a defeated party. People have opted for the leadership of Mamata Banerjee. If they (Left) have any sense of self-respect, they should resign and pave the way for an election.”
