Poll Predictions: Elections to be in favor of Narendra Modi

The poll predictions of Gujarat elections are making it quite definite that Narendra Modi, the hardline chief minister of the state is up for a hat-trick this time. On the second phase of polling on Monday, the state saw a record turnout of 70% and according to the verdicts of most exit polls BJP with Narendra Modi as leader is supposed to gain power again in the assembly elections.

Though the official results of the polls will be out on December 20, 2012, however, the exit poll results have shown Modi to improve tally of previous elections. Among the major exit poll results, the AC Nielsen – Ananda Bazar Patrika survey stated that Modi’s BJP party will have 116 of the 182 seats, whereas Congress will have to do with mere 60 seats. Similarly, other surveys also predicted that BJP will have the major seats.

Modi, who is ruling Gujarat since 2001 looked confident while casting his vote in his constituency Maninagar.
