Ghagra and choli ruled Navratri in the year 2009, the experts this year say that this year the theme is going to be Indo-western style for the festical of Navratri. They say that ghagras are going to shorter than the usual traditional ones and cholis place are going to be taken by tank tops with basic colours.

“We have reduced the length of the ghagra up to our calves, but have maintained the flair. Since, we have designed our ghagras intricately, we want to keep the top simple. By wearing basic coloured tank tops, we will be able to give the traditional look a western touch,” says Pearl Salva, fashion-designing student.

Navratri colours thus are going to be basic ones, thus giving traditional as well as funky look. Since the festival is of nine days, people have ample opportunity to try on different colours and look on different days.
