Kiran Kumar Reddy, Jaipal Reddy and J Geeta Reddy competing for CM’s post
After Andhra Pradesh government accepted K Rosaiah’s resignation there have been many assumptions, as to who would be the one replacing him as the next Chief Minister of the state. Union Minister, S Jaipal Reddy, State Assembly Speaker, N. Kirankumar Reddy and State Minister, J Geeta Reddy are the names who are competing for one of the most responsible posts.
The new CM would be decided today itself, (November 24) at an emergency meeting of the Congress Legislature Party (CLP). Central Ministers and senior party leaders like AK Antony, Veerappa Moily and Ghulam Nabi Azad will be attending today’s CLP meeting.
It cannot be said that whether the final word will come from the party President, Sonia Gandhi or not. Jaipal Reddy is considered strong because of his vast experience.
It is believed that the party will chose someone from the Telangana region so that the fight for separate state becomes easy.
