Karnataka Taluk/Zilla Panchayat Election Results LIVE

Bangalore, 4th January, 2011, counting of polled votes for the local governing councils such as Zilla panchayat anf Taluk panchayat will begin today. Around 171 centers across Karnataka state are arranged for this purpose.

Karnataka Zilla Panchaya (ZP) and taluk Panchayat (TP) elections were held in two phases on 26th December, 2010 and 31st December, 2010 & on 1st January, 2011. View ZP Result

Fifty percent of the seats in TP and ZP elections are reserved for female candidates. View TP Result

Karnataka Election Commission for the first time used the EVMs (Electronic Voting Machines) for the TP and ZP elections. Watch Live TV

The 1st phase of the elections were took place in 12 districts on 26th December, 2010. The 2nd phase elections were took place on 31st December, 2010 for 17 districts.

Gulbarga district elections were conducted exclusively on January 1st, 2011.

The battle is running among three major parties as ruling party BJP, the Congress and the Janata Dal-Secular (JD-S).
